The U of MN is working with 3M the Department of Energy and others to develop more efficient and lower cost thin layer solar film that will replace the more expensive silicon based chips. The goal is to achieve cost parity with current energy production. The article on Cutting Solar Energy Costs is featured in Finance and Commerce.
